Summary

This is a procedural rock, it creates customizable, stylized stones from a simple base shape. Parameters such as overall shape, chunk variation, and smoothness are fully adjustable, making it easy for artists to quickly create diverse rock assets while maintaining full creative control.

Process

The rock was built from a simple sphere,  then I deformed it with attribute noise to add some surface variations. After smoothing the shape, I applied a Voronoi fracture node to break it into several chunks.

After the transformation and remesh, I looped through each fractured piece and added a random uniform scale to vary their size, in order to give the rock a more "natural" shape.

Finally, I smoothed the merged pieces to soften the fractured edges, then remeshed the surface and added normals as well as UV for rock texturing in the future.
