Summary

This VFX was created for the meteor trap, simulating falling metal debris from the sky as part. A shrinking warning circle indicates the impact zone, followed by an explosion upon collision.


The effect reinforces the game’s post-apocalyptic atmosphere, adding tension to the environmental hazards.

Process

The meteor effect includes three elements: falling debris, a warning circle, and a ground explosion.
Each component is synchronized to create a smooth impact sequence, from anticipation to explosion. Parameters such as meteor prefab, fall speed, and warning duration are also accessible to adjust.

The warning circle was built in VFX Graph with three layered effects: an orange shrinking ring transitioning into a red impact zone. Each layer fades and scales at different speeds to create a clear visual cue, helping players anticipate the meteor’s landing timing.

The explosion effect was built in Shader Graph, combining multiple noise textures and UV distortions to simulate a distortion energy.
By layering different motion speeds and alpha controls, the effect creates a dynamic, fiery burst.
